Mr. McClure is a multi-disciplined Civil/Structural Engineer with over 30 years of specialized management and design experience emphasized on various types of structures. He has managed and designed complex bridge structures, ramps, pre-stressed and post-tensioned girders, deep abutments, stormwater pump stations, towered platforms, retaining walls, and drainage outlet structures. In addition, Mr. McClure has managed and designed roadways and their drainage systems, complex hydrologic and hydraulic systems, as well as bridge hydraulics, multi-directional interchange geometry, feasibility and corridor studies, and traffic analyses of interchanges, ramps, intersections, and corridors.

Mr. McClure has worked closely with federal, state, and local agencies, along with various railroad companies to achieve the client's goals for their project, expeditiously. Examples of projects Mr. McClure has managed/designed are:

  • The Central Thruway is a major urban arterial located in the northeast quadrant of East Baton Rouge Parish. It is a new alignment that will connects US 190 to the densely populated area of Baton Rouge known as Central. It consists of seven (7) bridges, three (3) of which are complex girder spans with one crossing the Comite River. Nearly five (5) miles of roadway, the Central Thruway passes near and around sensitive wetland areas to minimize impact to the ecosystem.
  • The Pecue Lane Interchange is a new interchange along I-10 in East Baton Rouge Parish. Mr. McClure served as project manager and provided engineering support during the NEPA process. Various interchanges were evaluated by Mr. McClure to establish the structure set such as a DDI (diverging diamond interchange) as well as various other interchange configurations.
  • The LA 964 Bridge over the Comite River Diversion Project. This is a bridge and roadway project being funded through the COE for the future Comite River Diversion Canal. LA 964 is a two lane arterial highway with a girder span bridge crossing the canal.  The bridge consists of 5-63 foot type III girder spans over a skewed channel and horizontal curve for a total bridge length of 315 feet.
