Pecue Lane over I-10 located in East Baton Rouge Parish.  This Project is under construction with and estimated construction cost of $ 40,000,000.00.

Central Thruway Roadway and Bridges

East Baton Rouge Parish.  Completed in 2007 with a total construction cost of nearly $60,000,000.00.

East Baton Rouge City Parish Bridge Replacement

SKA has designed several bridges thoughout the state for local municipalities.  Mollylea in Baton Rouge is an example of a slab span located in an urban area with sidewalks for pedestrian traffic.

Albany Treatment Facility

Designed by SKA, it is currently being upgraded to accommodate additional flows as the Town grows.

Pecue Lane Interchange

The Pecue Lane Interchange is a new interchange along I-10 in East Baton Rouge Parish. Presently in the environmental phase, Shread-Kuyrkendall evaluated various types of interchange configurations. One type is the SPUI (single point urban interchange) which reduces traffic conflict points.  The final interchange selected was the Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI).  The DDI will be the first of its type in Louisiana.

I-12 over US 190, Route I-12, St. Tammany Parish

This project includes two overpass structures widened from a four lane freeway to a six lane freeway.  The structures are 679 feet and 688 feet consisting of AASHTO Type IV and Type III girders on column bents.

Safety improvements such as guard rail replacement, overhead sign adjustment, adjusting elevations of ramps is included. This project requires stage construction with shoulder widening for traffic control. Traffic control plans with multiple phasing, night construction, and detours was utilized.

US 90 Railroad Overpass SE of LA 85

Located in Iberia Parish, this project includes replacement of a railroad spur with a large concrete box culvert which will be utilized by a local industry to move goods via a conveyor system.  US 90 will be built up to cross over the box culvert.  US 90 is part of the future I-49 extension.

I-10 Widening:  LA 73 to LA 30

This project entails widening I-10 from 4 lanes to 6 lanes.  One major interchange at LA 30 consists of two bridge structures spanning LA 30.  Two other locations have bridges crossing a bayou and a local road.  SKA performed detailed bridge inspections to determine the level of reconstruction needed to widen the bridges.

LA 3241: LA 36 to LA 435

Nearly 8 miles in length, this four lane divided highway is on a new alignment provideing a north south access to I-12.  Located in St. Tammany Parish, this project has two locations with concrete girder span bridges crossing Bayou Lacombe and its Tributary.This project has an estimated Construction Cost of $70,000,000.00

Roddy Road Improvements

Located in Ascension Parish, Roddy Road is a heavily used two-lane arterial being widened for safety and capacity. Two bridges over the New River Canal and Bayou Narcisse are being replaced with slab span structures. Construction is expected to begin late 2020.  Total estimated construction costs are estimated at $5,500,000.00.
